While the BlackBerry Bold 9800 slider still hasn't been acknowledged by RIM, the device has been leaked numerous times. If the latest leak proves true, though, we may end up calling the slider something different entirely. CrackBerry has received multiple tips that say the name "BlackBerry Torch" is being seriously considered for the device when it's finally released. The naming decision isn't finalized yet, but apparently some devices are already being manufactured with the Torch branding, and the URL www.BlackBerryTorch.com was purchased by BlackBerry manufacturer Research In Motion back in April. The BlackBerry family already has the Pearl, Curve, Bold, and Storm devices, so we're not sure if a new name is necessary. However, this is a new form factor, so perhaps a new name is needed to distinguish the slider from the other phones made by RIM. The last time a new BlackBerry form factor was released, the Pearl Flip 8230, an existing name was used, so that's also something to consider. Do you think the new device should be the Bold 9800 or the Torch 9800?
