Following up on the post we put up earlier with the Motorola Droid X photos, it appears that Boy Genius Report has received a tip with the release information for both the Droid X and the Droid 2. BGR says that the Droid X will be launching in July with "shadow BLUR" and Android 2.1, which fits nicely with the previous information we've heard. The Droid 2, toting a physical QWERTY keyboard, should be launching in August with Android 2.2 in tow. Finally, BGR says that both devices will be launching with OMAP3630 processors. The "shadow BLUR" running on the Droid X sounds like it is the cleaner-looking version of BLUR that we've seen in leaked shots. Earlier rumors said that the Droid 2 would also ship with MOTOBLUR, but if BGR's source is correct, the Droid 2 may be one of the first devices to ship with Froyo and could be the way to go for Android purists. Overall, both devices seem to be shaping up to be very capable phones. So, which one would you pick up?
