While it's great to see phones being released with new versions of Android like 2.1, it's also tough if you bought a device that hasn't seen an update in a while, like T-Mobile's MyTouch 3G. Good news for those users, though, as T-Mobile has said that it won't be forgetting about the MyTouch 3G and will be bringing Android 2.2 to those devices. The update will bring an improved Faves gallery, Genius Button funtionality like what is found on the MyTouch 3G Slide, and full Exchange support. This is a huge, and welcome, announcement, and it's great to see T-Mobile taking care of some of Android's early adopters by bringing them up to date software. There's no release information other than "Coming soon," but we'd guess that the update will be coming around the same time as the release of the MyTouch 3G Slide. There is one thing that we have to wonder, though: If T-Mobile believes in the motto "No phones left behind," what about the G1?
