Since the launch of the Pre, comments have been mostly positive. Save for battery life issues, minor keyboard annoyances, and build quality concerns surrounding the Pre, webOS as a whole has been a tremendous success. As with any newly launched platform, however, there's bound to be bugs and frustrations, and minus a few plugs here and there, Palm hasn't addressed them - until now.
Palm's impending webOS 1.2 update represents the first real boost to the platform since its launch in June. Enhancements include the paid App Catalog, improved copy and paste, image options, various browser improvements, e-mail and phone upgrades (finally, those pesky notifications are at a reasonable level - your callers won't be telling you that you just got a text message any more), notification upgrades (rumor has it that LED notifications will enter the picture), and more. According to reports, iTunes syncing will make a triumphant return (at least for a few days, until Apple pulls it again).
