BlackBerry Onyx spotted in the wild, sporting an optical trackpad
It's a fact that trackballs are often an issue on aging BlackBerry
devices, and it appears that the company is moving closer to deploying
optical trackpads on future devices. In addition to the BlackBerry
Curve 8520, the BlackBerry Onyx has been spotted sporting a similar
outfit. A ship date hasn't been confirmed, but pictures surfacing
usually lends credence to it being sooner rather than later. Via Engadget Mobile
Following Verizon's footsteps Sprint to bring Wi-Fi to all future major devices
It wasn't that long ago (May, actually) that Verizon announced that every BlackBerry device post-Tour would have Wi-Fi built in. Since then, new documents have surfaced that shed light on Verizon requesting the Wi-Fi capability from its OEM's going forward. Not to be thrown behind the bus, Sprint today announced that it would also be "embracing Wi-Fi on all major devices going forward." According to FierceWireless, the nation's third largest carrier will be offering a Wi-Fi version of the Tour next year.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt caught using a BlackBerry
Research In Motion must be loving the publicity - first it was President Obama, and now Google CEO Eric Schmidt (CEO of a company that makes a competing product, mind you) has been spotted with a BlackBerry. Appearing briefly at a window during a media summit, Schmidt appeared to be taking a picture of the media gathered outside. Hey, at least it had a Google sticker on the back, right? Via BerryReview
