If you want the Internet on your Behold or Memoir but don't want to spring $19.95 a month, web2go is your best alternative to a full-blown data subscription--especially if you already have messaging bundled with a family plan. As a helpful rep told me this morning, web2go is $9.95 a month and gives you high-speed Internet access for the first 10 Gigs of each month. After that, data is throttled but still available.
Web2go has been a bit awkward in the past and my wife generally avoided browsing on her Behold. T-Mobile recognized this consensus and responded by making web2go more touch screen friendly; requiring less scrolling and fewer clicks or taps to get to your favorite content (which will load faster, BTW). Dynamic RSS feed icons, customized weather, and um...horoscopes are included.
So, if you need a cheap data plan but were unhappy with web2go in the past, now might be the time to give it another shot.
