Despite all the talk about iPhones, HTC Touch Pro2's, Pre's and whatnot, let's not forget there are other phones out there, like Nokia.
The Finnish company just announced the arrival of the new Nokia Music Stores yesterday and three new music-oriented handsets: The 5730 XpressMusic (QWERTY), 5330 XpressMusic (slider), and the budget-friendly 5030 XpressRadio (candybar-style). The Music Store is already available in 15 countries, and these new phones will undoubtedly help spread the tunes around.
The 5730 is a QWERTY phone that's optimized for music and gaming, and features dedicated audio and N-Gage keys. It launches Q3 for €280. The 5330 slider will also be available Q3 (at €260) and features illuminated design effects, a 3.5-mm jack and 26-hours of audio time. At the low end, the 5030 XpressRadio marks Nokia's most affordable phone with a built-in FM radio antenna, so while headsets or external speakers might be nice, they?re not required. The 5030's already on sale in Pakistan, but it looks like it's set for a wider release in Q2 (€40).
These are heading for emerging markets, but no specific word yet on when they may be available in the U.S. But you?ll know as soon as we do.
