Alltel today announced they will offer Wifi data plans that will grant their customers access to over 100,000 hotspots via Boingo Wireless throughout the country. For $30 a month you can get unlimited Wifi access on both your laptop and mobile phone or simply bundle the services together with EV-DO for $69.98 to ensure uninterrupted internet access.

Now that Alltel offers Wifi access; will we see a new line up of Wifi enabled phones introduced anytime soon? One can only hope!
