LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Alltel is reminding former Cingular/AT&T customers in Oklahoma, Texas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Connecticut, and former PSC customers in Alabama and Georgia, that they must switch their service to Alltel by Dec. 28 or lose their wireless phone numbers and service with the shut down of the old networks. Customers who switch before the deadline will have 30 days to try Alltel products and services risk-free.
The old Cingular/AT&T and PSC networks will be turned off Dec. 28, so customers must act now to avoid disruption of service and to keep their wireless numbers. Alltel has made extensive efforts in recent months to contact customers in these markets via letters, bill inserts, text messages, telemarketing calls and advertising.
Alltel has introduced advanced networks to serve these customers with broadband wireless service and expanded their local calling areas. Alltel has America's largest wireless network.
Alltel is a customer-focused communications company with more than 15 million customers in 36 states and $10 billion in annual revenues.
