We have compiled a list of ten of our favorite iOS apps to hit the App Store during the month of October 2017. Without further ado, let’s get started.
The first three apps leverages Apple’s new AR technology. First we have Measurekit, which aims to let you measure different things in the world using your iPhone or iPad camera. There are several different AR tools such as a trajectory, mark it pin, and angles tool but I really like the ruler because it lets me measure straight lines on any surface. While I wouldn’t really trust the measurements for a school project or something like that, they can be pretty close to accurate and give you a pretty good idea as to how long something is.
TapMeasure is a very similar app but it too has its own set of tools that might appeal to you. For example, you can create a scale accurate 3D model of your room that you can measure and review. You can also quickly measure items like Measurekit and even use the smart level to make picture frames and artworks are perfectly level on your wall.
The last AR app we have is Augmented Reality Solar System, which provides a unique learning experience for those who are curious about our world and how it interacts with the space around it. With a quick tap, you can explore the planets in a realistic scale, which just might blow your mind. This one does cost $1 but it’s so worth it if you love science and space.
PUSH is one of the coolest puzzle games I’ve ever seen. In order to solve the puzzle, you need to push these 3D structures around with your fingers. This game doesn’t revolve around points or stars and there are no tutorials or even move counters, you just have to push all the buttons at your own pace. It’s a really neat take on a puzzle game.
Edo Agenda is a beautiful productivity app that channels your inner creativity. You can use this app to write down the thoughts that inspire you, the ideas you want to remember, or the tasks that need to be done. You can also add your reminders for your meetings and attach relevant information like documents and current thoughts about setting meetings. What’s also neat is the different ways to view all that info. You can choose from daily, weekly or monthly view to get an overview on how productive you’ve been and just to see what still needs to be done.
Apollo Reddit Client is one of the latest Reddit apps on the App Store. What caught my eye is of course the beautiful layout but after testing it out, I fell in love with how fast it is. It’s set up to allow you to quickly jump between sub Reddits and spike through comments. There’s also a powerful writing editor built in to help you contribute to the site and write comments and post links and not just to consume content on it. But it does that pretty well too.
Blocky Farm is like a cross between Minecraft and Farmville. The world consists of cubes like Minecraft and your objective is to take care of pets and animals, style them with gadgets, manage your land, deliver goods to the town, and start your farm life. I just started playing this game so I still have a lot to learn but it’s a pretty fun way to pass the time.
Scheduled is a neat app that lets you schedule written text messages for iMessage, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Twitter, Slack, and so on. Basically all of the popular messaging apps are supported. You can use this app to schedule a kind note or heartfelt birthday wish. You schedule the message and the app will remind you of the message when it matters, where you can then sign on it and let the app send it on its merry way.
Temp Mail generates temporary disposable email addresses to help you protect your main email from spam, bots and phishing. The email addresses it provides are temporary, secure, anonymous, free and disposable. This is a great app to have if you find yourself redeeming a lot of online offers. Usually they ask some sort of email and chances are, you don’t want to use your main email because they’ll spam you like crazy. So you can use the app, Temp Mail.
Now the very last app we have for you today is called Squashy Bug. It’s a game where you play as an ant and you have to dodge feet and collect coins. You get a bug’s eye view of the world as you hustle and bustle to survive. The graphics are minimal and the gameplay is reminiscent of an old arcade. There’s a lot to love about this game.
With that last one, those are ten of our favorite iOS apps to hit the App Store during the month of October 2017.
