This is the Matte Gold Nexus 6P. It was announced a while back but officially announced here in the States last week during CES and I was lucky enough to pick one up. So I thought I should show you guys the 6P on a video. So here is the unboxing experience and my first impressions.
The unboxing experience is basically identical. I mean, you get a Nexus 6P, the charger cables, a USB-C to USB-C cable and some literature you'll never see. But the purpose of this video is to show off that new, beautiful 6P in this Matte Gold finish. As you can tell, I've tried to grade this video in the most accurate way to depict its true color. It's a nice faint gold which you can really tell on the bezels though in direct sunlight, the back of the phone almost looks like a very shiny silver. It's definitely not up-in-your-face like Apple Gold or Rose Gold and I kind of dig that. This is probably the only gold phone I could use everyday and not feel too weird about using it as my daily.
Other than the color, the 6P is still the same-- a 5.7-inch QuadHD AMOLED display, Android Marshmallow, Snapdragon 810 processor, dual front-facing speakers, a huge battery, fast imprint sensor and that amazing Huawei build quality. And compared to the 6P in the Graphite color, you can see how pretty of a phone this one is. And I also have to give props to Huawei for making a Gold phone that doesn't have a white front like you know who.
