BLU has been on one serious roll lately in its releases of affordable yet mid-range devices for the masses. Going up against with phones like the Nexus 5, Moto G and Moto X, BLU has given its products substantial upgrades to help them better compete. Just a few weeks back, the company announced the Life Pure, a device that you could almost call its flagship Android handset.

The Life Pure's specs are pretty high-end for a BLU product and include a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. Add to that a nice 5-inch 1080p IPS LCD panel, and you have yourself one great-looking device. The design reminds me of a slate, almost like a Nexus 5, but with less curve and a design language that's not quite as striking. Most folks likely won't know which device you're holding in your hand if you're using the Life Pure. Maybe that’s what BLU wanted?

The software on the Life Pure is Android 4.2 with BLU’s custom user interface. Unlike other Life series phones or the Vivo lineup, the Life Pure lacks a real launcher and home screens. The experience is different from your normal Android device, but if you can get over that you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how well this phone runs.
