I was a die hard nokia fan my first phone was a nokia but after my dreadfull xperience wid n8..nokia lost me to apple...nd after using iphone4 for a year and a half..Nokia came out with a shot gun-sniper (L920)which is gonna crash the party for many fan boys..Yea nokia got me again..a home-comming of sorts(any1?)
Best Phone money can buy. Screen is awesome and camera is amazing.
Interface ICS very fast and fluid.
Battery does not drain like most of the smarphones i have used.
Awesome software features much better than most of its competitors except the NOTE II
I am a phoneaholic and I love this phone! The display is awesome and the phone is crazy fast. There is no phone out there that can keep up with this. The only down point is that the battery life is mediocre at best.
If you've ever fondled or caressed the original Samsung Galaxy Note and found its larger size too much to handle, we'll break this to you with a sledgehammer - the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is bigger.
It's now 151.1 x 80.5 x 9.4mm (5.9 x 3.2 x 0.4 inches), so slightly up from 146.9 x 83 x 9.7mm (5.8 x 3.3 x 0.4 inches).
Around the back, you'll find the 8MP camera with flash.
The additional sorcery is carried out away from view. The microSD expansion slot is beneath the rear cover - as is the microSIM slot, hidden behind the enormous 3,100 mAh battery.
At 183g (0.4lbs), you couldn't describe the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 as a feather - and the weight gives it a real notion of substance.

Apps
Windows Phone 8 has a new core, but almost all 120,000 existing WP7 apps work on WP8, and they mostly work better: Most apps open faster and run smoother. However, other apps have small bugs like crashing when uploading a picture (Nokia Pulse). Also, the icons look unsharp and stretched, but that is logical since these apps are not made for HD or HD+ screens. Apps that are written for WP8 run even better.
Issues
Windows Phone 8 unfortunately isn?t perfect, but it is the first release of the new platform and there are only a few minor issues. Therefore, I personally would say it?s fine (as long as these get fixed in a future release, which they likely will). Here is a list of issues I have found so far:
Sometimes the animations are a little laggy (but it doesn?t affect the actual performance)
Some icons (not 3rd party app icons) look like they were ported from WP7 and look stretched and not sharp.
The touchscreen sometimes doesn?t react well to multi-touch (probably Lumia 920 only)
As you can see, these issues are small and nothing critical, so I don?t think it will affect your WP8 experience.
Lumia 920 ? software tweaks
Nokia is the only manufacturer allowed to make changes to the OS, and ? unlike the WP7 Lumia?s ? there are some tweaks in the OS. Bing Maps is completely replaced with Nokia Maps. Here?s how getting directions works:
If you search for a place in Maps and ?
? press address, Maps will display the location
? press drive, Nokia Drive+ will open (yay, finally! :D )
? swipe to ?Apps? you can choose Nokia Maps (same as on WP7)
Hardware:
Camera
The Lumia 920 has Nokia?s PureView camera. Not the PureView we know from the 808 ? the 41 MPX monster ? but PureView 2, which ?only? has an 8.7 MPX camera but with OIS (optical image stabilization), which no other phone has ever had! OIS promises smooth and stabilized videos and great pictures during night, even without flash. I did not test the video function (I have no motive to film), but you can find a collection of all my pictures here. Can you guess which pictures were taken with or without flash? ;-) ? (BTW, I let the bad pictures in as well, so you can judge for yourself)
9/10 points because of the excellent night shots, but daylight pictures could look a touch more natural (but this will be fixed in a future release as promised by Nokia).
Screen
Just? wow! The screen is so sharp, the colors are so natural, the touchscreen is so fluid (except multi-touch as mentioned earlier). I have to admit ?PureMotion? was a bit disappointing; I expected moving objects to be clearer. Well, they are indeed clearer than on other IPS screens (like a Lumia 710), but they are not clearer than on my ?old? Lumia 800.
SupersensitiveTouch is in my opinion the most innovative thing the 920 has to offer! It works really great! Well, you have to press a bit harder when you are wearing gloves, but only a little bit, so it?s definitely not a big deal.
9.5/10 points. The screen is an absolute pleasure to look at and SupersensitiveTouch is one of the best inventions ever made, but when I used multi-touch the screen did not react that well.
Look and feel
The Lumia 920 looks beautiful! I have the white version and it looks awesome! Also, the materials feel great and the whole phone feels absolutely solid. Even if the curved glass is not as curved as on the Lumia 800 (or Nokia N9), it is a pleasure to swipe from the edge of the screen into the middle; it feels great and natural. One thing I don?t get: Why is the screen not placed a bit lower? And there is another disadvantage: This phone is heavy, really heavy! You have to keep in mind everything that the phone has (wireless charging, OIS, solid build materials), so the weight is slightly justified, but it is a really heavy device.
Anyways, the materials used seem to be very good: The polycarbonate body feels great and is very stable, the screen is really tough, and the buttons and camera, both made of ceramic, will not scratch.
9/10 points. The form and materials feel natural and great, but it is a brick of a device.
Speakers, microphones, and call quality
The most important function of a smartphone is still the phone, and the 920 does an extremely good job here. The call quality is amazing, 10/10 points. People on the other line could hear me very clearly, and audio through the earpiece similarly sounded very good. The microphones (for recording) are nothing special, but they are quite good. I give the recorded sound quality 7/10 points. The speakers are really good. They are really loud and the quality is great, but they are still phone speakers ;-) Anyways, the speakers get 10 points!
Battery
The 920 has a 2000 mAh battery built in, which is not much compared to other devices with the same screen size. And indeed, the battery life of the phone is not special. Don?t get me wrong, the battery is not bad. After a little more than 1 day of heavy (really heavy) usage the battery was empty. This is good, but there are better devices. The battery lasts a few hours more than my Lumia 800 did (note: I did not have battery problems with my Lumia 800), but as I said, the battery is nothing special. 7.5/10 points.
Extras
The Lumia has another cool feature built in: Wireless charging. I was not able to test it with my own device, but some weeks ago at the Photokina, I tested it at Nokia?s stand. It is not a must have, but once you have it, you?ll wonder how you ever lived without it. You can just place your phone onto a special table and it starts charging. I mean, who wants to plug in a USB cable every time? A cool feature! 6 bonus points!
The 920 is a wireless monster in every other way as well! It supports almost every network, including LTE, and it works with every carrier. Also, the 920 supports NFC ? nothing special, but it?s also not very common. For LTE I give this device 6 extra points, for NFC 4.5.
So, the Lumia 920 gets whole 63/70 points and 16.5 bonus points.
Summary
The Lumia 90 ? Nokia?s flagship ? is a great device! Everything scores highly. The screen as well as the camera are truly amazing! It also has cool features like wireless charging or LTE. However, the battery as well as the microphones were nothing special: They were good, but not the best. All in all the Lumia 920 is a great device!
I switched to experia S, I tried the Htc one, Tried the Galaxy II and keep wanting the note. I love the screen, i love how easy it is to read, and the Battery last forever!!
If you like to keep up on Facebook and Twitter friends, Windows Phone has awesome live tiles.
The phone is fast and even has Office included. I love onenote because it syncs with my desktop.
The camera takes sweet night shots. I have never seen a cell phone take such amazing shots at night before.
i used to have the iPhone 5 and i tried it out for a couple days. i didn't like it so i exchanged it for a GS3 and I have not regretted it for a minute. everything about the phone is phenomenal. for my next upgrade in about a year, i will probably move to a Nexus since i really like Android and i will then get the genuine feel of Android. All in all, Awesome device!
the phone is just perfect, i have no complains what so ever, its just 350 unlocked!!!. and quad core processor. What else can you ask...
i have used the phone for a few days now and have fell in love with it. there is only one thing that could have been improved and that is the battery. the battery's not as bad as i thought it was going to be but its still not the great. Also the fact that this is a relatively large phone makes it harder to use for things like pressing the power button that sits on top of the phone. it's not really a huge problem it just would have been nice to have the power button on the side. But the phone is still a great phone and one of my personal favorites on verizon. But if you need a lot of memory and aren't close to a charger for large amounts of time this may not be the phone for you.
I've had 12 android phones all the way up to the s3.
But still find my self coming back to this phone. You just cant beat stock android jelly bean.
