The good: Feels good in your hand, has a bright screen, good camera and flat pad.
The bad: The worst thing is it eats battery up in ten minutes when you play a game. I've been having trouble with the battery getting hot in my pocket. Now I have trouble with reception it use to be good.
Summary: If you get this phone don't play games on it because it does something to the battery drawing too much current damaging the reception circuit some how. You have to buy a lot of applications on this phone. It looks like its been setup for 3G and online applications. Some application you can buy and download but it looks like they are hoping you just use online access.
The good: Nice appearance - Keypad is consistent with previous Motorola Keypad. Can change some of the defaults.
The bad: Music Button keeps getting pressed.
Hard to take a good Picture with it.
Summary: I know it's a phone not a Camera - but it takes really bad pictures for a 2 MB pixel camera.
Holding it less than a rock steady results in a fuzzy picture.
No setting for indoor/outdoor light.
No shutter adjustment for action photo - like someone running in a race or kayaking.
Or even a Deer walking alongside the car turns out fuzzy.
The Music button was always getting pressed - and since I don't ever plan on using it for music - and it can't be Progammatically disabled (Hint for a new feature) I carefully put a drop of super glue on each edge.
All the volume settings should be in one place for the ringer, the ear piece, etc.
The good: Nice screen, speaker, call quality, network speed, email client, style, desktop software.
The bad: Memory issues! Sluggish performance, limited application memory, low-quality app world apps
Summary: This is a good phone and has tremendous potential, however it has some serious issues that RIM needs to fix NOW! The App World is near-worthless as the blackberry is severely limited in it's application-dedicated memory. This memory cannot be allocated to your expandable microSD card. Big mistake! Also it has memory leakage issues that will have your system slowing to a crawl by the end of the day. I had to hunt on some forums to find workable solutions.. some aftermarket memory-sweeping apps and an overnight auto-reset app have improved my daily experience substantially..

I am not going to say I 'hate' this phone. It has serious issues, but I think they could be resolved easily by a firmware update.. don't forget the iPhone OS was a work in progress as well..

The media player is great.. great call quality, the click screen is easy to use, slower than the iphone, but I find my accuracy is better..

RIM fix the memory issues so we can have a perfect phone!!
The good: Full Keyboard, Firm Slider, Nice Colors, decent camera, micro SD expandible, and Music Player.
The bad: Battery Life, Screen Quality, Speaker Volume, and Small Keys.
Summary: Long Story short, My other phone broke. Since i had the incurance, i got a free phone as my replacement. They ofered me the Sony Ericsson W580i; or the Samsung Propel (A767). Since i had nevr had a phone with a QWERTY board I desided to go with the Propel; Im glad i did. While waiting for my Propel to come in the mail, I desided to go to the ATT store to check out the W580i. It felt really cheap, and as I said, it didn't hav the QWERTY board. Then, I felt right for choosing the Propel. When I recieved my replacement in the mail, I opened it up, and popped in my SIM and Micro SD and it worked really nice! Started texting right away (I am a HUGE txtr!!!!); that wuz nice. The shortcut button on the side is handy. And, the phone is not to heavy, and not to light. If you text alot like me, the battery will last you bout a full day. Speaker could be a bit louder as well. So... If you like the fact that u hav a QWERTY, you want a basic-med. end slider, and like simple navigation menus... This is the phone 4 u! Hope this helps!!! Go Noah!!!
The good: RUGGED,EVDO REVA,HPPT,SPRINT TV, SPRINT MUSIC STORE,GREAT DISPLAY,GREAT STEREO SPEAKERS,LOUD,800MHZ ROAMING,SPRINT MOBILE SYNC
The bad: BATTERY LIFE
Summary: THIS PHONE IS ONE OF THE BEST PHONES I HAVE EVER OWNED, IT HAS EVERYTHING YOU COULD EVER WANT PLUS PTT, THIS TRULY IS A SWISS ARMY PHONE, IT JUST DOES IT ALL, LOVE EVERYTHING BUT THE BATTERY LIFE!!
The good: Cute, stylish
The bad: Garbage, freezes up.
Summary: I wanted to love this phone because it's a cool phone with good features. However, with low battery, it freezes while trying to use features like the camera. In the past, charging it would fix the problem. Now, my phone is completely frozen (won't power up) and it's just outside the 30 day warranty and alltel and LG both wash their hands of the mess. I have seen other reviewers that have had their phones freeze up too. This is common in this phone. Buyer beware!
The good: Great screen response, easy to download songs, videos, etc, you CAN send pics to your friends and family, love the widgets!!
The bad: Sometimes the accelerator takes a moment to activate when turning your phone sideways to access the qwerty keyboard
Summary: Ok, so I am a Cricket customer, and have been for a little over 2 years now. And while I have been pleased w/ their unlimited service and even their customer service(contrary to popular belief that it's horrible lol), I have to say I was a little disappointed w/ their selection of cell phones. Until now. I have always been a HUGE gadget girl, I have a P2 that I am able to use as a multimedia platform for syncing my cellphone to by bluetooth, watching movies, etc, so naturally I wanted a cell phone that contained some(if not all) of those features. I have only had the phone for 2 days, but in that short time, I have been able to, download music, download videos, stream tv through orb tv, send pix to my friends and family, and browse a full html browser w/o having to wait a million years for it to load up, as it connects extremely quickly. I have been waiting for this phone for 2 months, and have done alot of research as far as it's functionality goes, and now that I have the phone and can put that research to use, it has not disappointed. Let me reiterate that this is not a SMART phone, but it is a truly functional feature phone w/ some smart phone capability. I haven't tethered my evoke to my laptop yet, but I will be doing that tonight, as it does support tethering. As for the rumors that the screen locks up, I have yet to witness that, and as there were only distorted pics for awhile to show the size of the phone, I can tell you it's a lot less bulkier in person. Well, Noah, I hope this satisfies some of the curiosity about the evoke. I'm a big fan of your unboxings!! :>) This phone is great, and worth the money spent. My brother has an iphone, and he and I put the html web browsers to the test to see which would load the fastest and it was almost a tie as to how fast the screens came up. He was definitely impressed and had to rescind his skepticism of the phone. LOL Great phone, and worth every penny.
The good: Everthing this phone had everything i was looking for great call quality and camera. The threaded messaging is great and rival to that of the iphone.
The bad: I dont see anything wrong with it
Summary: This is the best phone i have ever seen or had the pleasure of using. It has better call quality than any cell phone i have ever used. It also has the best camera for a phone ever

The good: They had top notch reception and customer service
The bad: phone selection was weak if you were looking for the exclusives Cingular was picking up at the time
Summary: AT&T ripped all that Cellular One had that was good out and replaced it with their cold mechanical gears and mega-corporate policies.
Sure I like the iPhone, but would go back to my Nokia 5165 if it meant I could have the level of service (and unlimited minutes) back again!
The good: good volume while talking
The bad: battery life bad, freezes, weird mess ups
Summary: I just recently got this phone and so far im not liking it at all! When im trying to text it freezes then i close it and for 5minutes it says reading smart chip. When im replying to a text it wont let me send cause it says sms is busy, for whatever that means. It has good clear talking while your on the phone. But texting is awful, the back key is to close to #2- abc and that gets frustrating. i recommend this to people who have patience and dont like to text
The good: Everything, the touch screen is VERY acurate, music and speaker, picture wuality, camera, video, personalization, call quality, texting, battery, design, EVERYTHING!
The bad: None. Video is a Tiny bit pixely but i can live with it.
Summary: Great phone, you wont regret it, no mistakes or anything. Battery life is good if you over use you'll still have half or 3/4 bars left. GREAT futures, fun to use and the touch screen is awesome! I love the camera and everything else. I would recommend to everyone.
The good: has a qwerty keyboard and vz navigater not heavy heavy duty but my mom works outside and has dropped hers who knows howmany times and still works just fine and looks ok....so its kinda in the heavy duty area not hard to figure out spent 5 min, with it and learned it all.you cantext with the flip open or closed and can do almost the same on the outside as you can the inside.
The bad: frount keys dont work that well sometimes break the battery has a short lifespand and u dont get very good reciption.no side arrow keys on the frount of the phone.i personally think that the qwerty keys are 2 close together andi all the time oush the wrong button or the symbols button and enter a symbol not a letter.a small mermory, easliy scrathched.
Summary: i have had 3 env2s alreadyinte first mounth i had orignally got the maroon color and about 9 days later we took it back bnecause of my keys on the frount.a few days later we took that one back becauseo f the battery and got the black one......everyone says the black one is better there not sure but all myfriends have the balck one and have had no problems so i got the black one and love i tno problems so far except for the battery but i text a lot so i think that is the reason why.bad signal to send....well i hate that but u can send in digital so u really dont half 2 worry about that inless u call alot which most of amerca is not doin there all texting.this phone si nice and small and light wieght besides my 1st bad expercince i love this phone and recomend this to people who are easy on there phones......and not like myomom who worksout side......easly scratched though.
The good: The first thing I noticed about the Chocolate 3 when I recieved it was that it had a very large external screen. Another big pro I found was that LG decided to dich the slider form for a more reliable clamshell flip. Also the buttons on the inside of the phone are well spaced and very easy to text on. Also the internal screen is very bright and clear. The music player is good but nothing realy different from other music based phones.
The bad: I found that the buttons on the phone stick to the inside screen and leave the imprint of the buttons on the screen. I put a case on my phone after that and havn't had any problems with that. The phone also scratches very easily on the front from the glossy finish on it... I would recomend a case. Other than that the phone is good for a non-smartphone.
Summary: LG has traded in the previous slider chocolates to a duriable, more spacious clamshell flip phone. The Chocolate is a music based phone but has much more to offer besides a music player, a nice 2MP camera, large very easy to text on buttons, And a nice external screen. If you are looking for a reliable, non-smartphone then I think the the LG Chocolate 3 ( vx-8650 ) would be a good choice.
The good: Value, customer service
The bad: If you're looking for the latest/greatest this probably isn't it.
Summary: At our historical usage level our monthly bill will go from $90 with Verizon (2 phones -700 minutes which we never come near to using) to around $50 with Tracfone. We've been with Verizon (including other wireless providers they gobbled up) for at least 12 years. Though we've found the charges outrageous and their customer service lacking for sometime (especially in Verizon Stores - nearly always long waits, non existent follow through or problem resolution) we've been reluctant to venture out - like the dog that stays with his master who mistreats him. My parents have used Tracfone for years now and have been pleased - so we finally decided to make the leap. We've not used the service much so I can't comment on signal strength except to say my parents have had signal strength with their Tracfones in places where I have not with Verizon. One hesitation to the switch was all the complaints about customer service, poor english speakers etc... All I can say is that I've been very impressed with the reps I've talked with and throughout the porting process when I've called several times, I've not waited on hold to speak with a live person for more than a minute (very unlike Verizon). My husband is the texter in our family so we had a text upcharge fee on Verizon to cover but since I never text I didn't have a package and would get charged .25 every time someone sent me an unsolicited text (typically bad group forward emails - ugh). I've have to call and say, please don't text me. Now our average text cost will be around 3 cents! 3 cents Tracfone ... 25 Verizon. Let me think about that one for a minute! Just one example.

So far my only beef (minor) is that I didn't feel Tracfone was clear that you could be out of service for a while when the switch is made. The site says it will take 7-10 days to port your number (which I assumed I'd have my other carrier working until then) but then I lost Verizon and when I called they told me I could be without service for up to a week! I ended up being without any service for a bout a day and a half which was not a big deal. My husband was out of service for less than 24 hours. If that's the worst we experience and I can save $500 a year on wireless I'm thrilled. I think my parents have been with them for about 5 years and in all that time my father said he received one bad phone but when he called about it they sent him a replacement without having him wait to ship the other phone back. That's good customer service. I'll post again if the service takes a turn for the worst but based on our experience so far - I'm kicking myself for having waited so long to make the switch.
The good: The OS, Speed, basically everything.
The bad: App Catalog is small, but is growing. Battery life is ok.
Summary: Very very nice device. The Operating System is just amazing. The speed of the device was improved with the new 1.0.3 software update. The fact the palm keeps on updating the system is very nice. There are a few good apps in the catalog, but need some more. The slider on the phone is great, even though the keyboard is small, I find it very easy to type on. Overall, a great device.
The good: It has a beautiful, high-resolution display; 3G; GPS; Flash video support; full qwerty keyboard; applications such as twitter, facebook, and myspace; sexy design; better web browser (most of the sites can view in full HTML mode); calls are much clearer than the previous sidekicks; customize themes and shells; awesome chats such as yahoo, aim, and msn; CAN use mp3 for your ringtone which other sidekicks can't do. Oh did I mention it is the thinnest sidekick ever?
The bad: No Wi-fi; videos recording and pictures are bad but better than the old sidekicks; GPS is a little bit clunky because you have to do many steps to find your location which is retarded; the battery life isn't that great, but it's better than the G1.
Summary: Overall this phone is great for a texting and emailing person. It is the best sidekick yet, although they will need to have more applications. The sidekick unlimited web + texting price is $35 which is pretty cheap compare to other services that other carriers give. This phone aims mostly at teenagers and its a really REALLY fun phone.
The good: Speaker, music player
The bad: camera, battery gets hot
Summary: i went from a phone that was 2 mgpx to 1.3 I see the difference. Also when Im online or texting the phone gets hot so the battery life is about 2 days to 4 days. I have dropped it but nothing happened. AT&T doesn't have cases for them so I had to check out other sites.
The good: -Full qwerty keyboard is great for texting
-Internal screen is large and great for viewing pictures, messages and videos.
-Nice 3 megapixel camera with flash for better quality pictures
The bad: -Small external screen...very hard to read messages or view pictures
-Call sound quality is VERY poor...sounds like the person you're talking to is in a tin can or has something covering their mouth (talked to owners of enV2 and they have the same problem with their phone)
-Volume doesn't go high enough...hard to hear callers or sound from music or videos
Summary: Overall, I like this phone. It's excellent for someone like me who texts more than talks. If you are a talker...I do NOT recommend this phone.
The good: Compact, Easy to use keyboard, Easy on the eyes, Fun to open, Simply phone with full potential.
The bad: No contract=no video, hard to upload pictures, very simple interface, no OTA downloads, small storage for messages, thats about it
Summary: I bought this phone as a backup while my blackberry was being fixed, and boy oh boy was I surprised. I loved it. It was so easy to use and as a young adult it was great to maneuver while I was out and about. This phone is perfect for texting. And the shape of it is just like a compact so going out clubbing with it in hand was as simple and comfortable as ever. Great phone for the young tech-heads, and great if you enjoy texting. Even though my blackberry is fixed and I recieved my palm pre I still take my Blitz with me on my nights out instead.
The good: Nice feel, great interface, perfect for multitasking like OMG!, great apps (so far), great picture, 100% responsive to touch, very organized, always being updated OTA which is GREAT!, the list goes on...
The bad: Sharp edges on keyboard, battery life tends to commit suicide, slight glitches when too many apps are open, cannot end conference call without ending all calls PERIOD!, no smileys, small catalog of apps, hard to personalize launch pages, no video camera, small keyboard, no personalized ring tones for texts, or notifications BLA!, no OTA downloads for like myxer or anything, after too much use you can pretty much make eggs on the back of it.
Summary: This phone is a wonderful piece of equipment, it not only allows you to multitask but it also allows total freedom to what you choose to do. It works great with business savvy to young adult tech-heads. You can even open your PDF files and documents on the go. So whether its homework, lesson plans or business plans, its all at your fingertips LITERALLY! This phone is also a pretty good media device, with its hot application 'Pandora' and its already programed youtube and amazon its impossible not to find what your looking for, and with GPS navigation you pretty much can never get lost in the crowd. This phone provides you with everything you can possibly need, I call it the iberry pre because it like the love child of the iphone and blackberry.
Again it is a beautiful piece of equipment that I am sure will be upgrade and updated to pure gadget perfection in no time.
