No matter what, it is better than GS IV. I doesn't mean GS IV is not good it is perfect, but no innovation. HTC One can combine both perfect and innovation! Good Job, HTC!
I have had my One for 11 days and the experience has been great. My major concerns with it were not having a replaceable battery or M-SD card slot but have found out that were not necessary. Phone?s call quality is great, the front facing speakers are superb, allowing a true stereo effect and the display has been surprisingly good even outside in sunny days. Perhaps, one of the things I like the most is the level of customization w/o using Carrier?s applications or those from third parties. Sense and blink are new to me but were customized also to my likes. The camera has some innovative features which I have tried but is something I am not interested in a cell phone.
Have been conducting some ?home tests? on battery life and noticed that per the phone?s battery indicator, its consumption might not be linear; it shows that most of the charge is used during the first few hours and below 50% takes more time to be consumed. Nevertheless, downloaded today a couple of applications to monitor which applications are most important regarding battery use. BTW, with average use making phone calls, text messaging, accessing e-mails and web browsing, have been charging the phone every 36 to 48 hours (similar to the Droid X). I am not into social media or extreme texting.
Worth mentioning that changing from my three year old Moto-Droid meant switching from VZN to ATT but still in the 14 day return period. ATT?s signal is not as good as Big Red but so far has worked for me (except when in underground places). I have no objective elements to compare the One to the S-4 as have always considered Sammy?s phones ?boring?, too wide and cheap looking; phones not for me. The HTC One looks very well made and the combination of aluminum with glass and black background on the screen makes it very attractive for all those that have not seen the device in person. So far is a ?keeper? and if you have one, experiment customizing it, a really fun experience.
After having the iPhone 5 on expensive Verizon (in which isn't worth the network), I really wanted to see about getting the One. After thorough review in the Sprint store, comparing the iPhone 5 with the One, & still great GS4, I stuck with my decision & went with the One. After 2 days on the road with me trucking, WOW! My only complaint is the 6 3/4 hours of heavy usage battery life, & 4 hour charging time from 1%. I'm past that though. I love this & it's the ultimate device, in my eyes, ever.
First, the design of this phone is far and away the best I've ever seen and only the iPhone 5 is in the same league. This One however takes design to an entirely new level. Blinkfeed I thought would be annoying and I find it fantastic even if it's not set as my homescreen for now. The speakers are without question unbelievable. What can I say about a full 1080 HD screen that is not already known? The size of this reaches the limits of what one can comfortably hold or put in a pocket. And the camera is far better than any reviewer has noted to date. Too bad I have to put a plastic case on it though and cover up the most beautifully designed product ever.
The HTC One is the sweet spot phone between the iPhone 5 and the Galasy S4. Why? Because, the design of the HTC One is as good as the iPhone or better and has much more features with customizing abilities than the iPhone 5. On the other hand, the HTC One doesn't have as many features as the S4, but the design is much better than the S4. So I believe that the HTC One hits the sweet spot right between the iPhone 5 and the S4.
I waited until I got my hands on the S4 this weekend to post my review... HTC has done it. I am one of Samsung's biggest fans. But Sammie is going to have to concede defeat on this round. The One is magnificent. Gorgeous hardware, smooth interface, amazing sound. Has everything that I want and need without providing all of the useless fluff that I don't. ZERO lag! Everything transitions perfectly. Battery life? If you use the provided power saver mode you can get a full day of moderate to heavy use with juice to spare. It doesn't interfere with performance at all. Blinkfeed is amazingly smooth. I didn't think I would like it but it has become one of my favorite things.
Hubby can rest easy...after 14 phones in 3 years I have found the One for me. It will take something truly groundbreaking to lure me away from this phi e. Well done HTC!
i own this phone 1 week, and all i am saying it such an awesome device!
Fantastic build-quality, also brand new interface, including HTC Zoe and Boom sounds, especially, UltraPixel great performance in low-light situations(just update to 1.29 and even better than before), and so on. there is absolutely no complaint about HTC One!!
It is so great - the Screen, Sense 5.0, the build quality, the loud speakers, the look and feel. It is definatly The best phone ever
Love the phone, I have to have a physical keyboard. Unfortunately, the camera is either awful or decent, and when it changes from 3G to 4G it takes a while, so I'm stuck with no usable service for a good 10min sometimes. But other than that, its very durable and world ready.
I'm a heavy power user and I am impressed on the battery life. The ultra pixel works great in low light conditions which works great for me. If you hate taking pictures having to use flash while losing rich colors then I would recommend the HTC one. The boom sound is amazing and loud yet it sounds crisp and clean.
I haven't experienced the problems I am reading other than poor customer service. What I don't like is my smart phone is dumbed down by tracfones service. I can't upload my photos and when I email them the phone shuts off . Not to mention apps are hard to come by.
best phone available. the only other phone remotely close is the htc one

I love the screen and I love the stylus which makes it a phablet.
This phone has everything you want and even more. Samsung did its best, but is that enough?
