Days after the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8 went up for pre-order, fans of unlocked phones have gained another flagship option.
The unlocked LG G6 is available for purchase from several retailers. Amazon is asking $599.99 for the unlocked G6 and says that the black version “may take an extra 1-2 days to ship,” while the silver model is available for pre-order. Third-party sellers are offering the device for $629.77. Meanwhile, B&H Photo Video is selling the unlocked G6 for $599.99.
LG is also taking pre-orders for the unlocked G6 at a price of $699.99. Meanwhile, Best Buy has the unlocked G6 on its site, but the device is currently out of stock.
The unlocked version of the LG G6 supports both GSM and CDMA networks, meaning it’ll play nice on the four major US carriers. Because it’s unlocked, this G6 also comes free of carrier pre-installed apps, and it’ll hopefully receive updates a bit faster than its carrier-branded brethren, who will have to go through some extra update testing.
