Last month, we heard that HTC is planning to extend the “10” branding found on the HTC 10 to a new Desire phone. Now a report suggests that there will actually be two Desire 10 models.
HTC is reportedly prepping two new mid-range phones called the Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle. VentureBeat’s Evan Blass says that both models are slated to launch around the end of September.
Today’s leak also revealed some details of the Desire 10 Lifestyle. This model will reportedly run Android 6.0 and HTC Sense on a 5.5-inch 1280x720 display. There will reportedly be 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras as well as a quad-core Snapdragon processor. HTC is said to be prepping two versions of the Lifestyle with different memory configurations: one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, the other with 3GB and 32GB.
Finally, the Lifestyle is said to place a focus on high-quality audio. HTC is reportedly throwing in BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition stereo speakers with 24-bit system audio as well as high-quality earbuds.
HTC is expected to offer several matte, solid color options for the Desire 10 Lifestyle. Each color will have metallic gold accents.
HTC’s Desire phones are traditionally mid-range offerings, and so the Desire 10 Lifestyle isn’t likely to appeal to someone that wants bleeding edge specs in their phone. If today’s leak is to be believed, though, the Desire 10 Lifestyle could be a solid option for someone that wants HTC features like Sense and a focus on audio, but at a cheaper price than the flagship HTC 10 sells for.
