Alongside its gigantic Xess tablet, Alcatel OneTouch today introduced a new smartwatch and a few new Android phones.
First up, the Alcatel OneTouch GO Watch is a ruggedized smartwatch that’s reminiscent of G-Shock watches. The GO Watch is IP67 waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof and it’s compatible with Android and iOS. It includes standard smartwatch features like notifications for calls and messages, as well as a special GO button that’ll create a graphic based on input from the watch’s gyroscope, heart rate sensor, and accelerometer. You can then share that graphic on social networks.
In terms of specs, the GO Watch has a 1.22-inch 240x204 display, a 180MHz Cortex-M4 processor, and a 225mAh battery that’s slated to run for 2 to 5 days. You can also swap its front casing and band with differently colored options whenever you’d like. The GO Watch is compatible with iOS 7 and up as well as Android 4.3 and up.
Accompanying the GO Watch is the GO Play smartphone. The GO Play phone is just as ruggedized as the GO Watch, offering IP67 waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof. Alcatel OneTouch says that you can even use the GO Play’s 8-megapixel rear camera to take photos underwater.
The GO Play’s spec list includes a 5-inch 1280x720 display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, 8GB of storage that can be expanded upon with a microSD card, 1GB of RAM, and a 2500mAh battery. It’s powered by Android Lollipop.
