Verizon recently teased that the Nexus 6 is “coming soon” to its shelves, but the big red carrier didn’t say exactly when “soon” would be. Today the rumor mill is filling us in on that information.
An image posted by Android Police claims to show several of Verizon’s upcoming launches. According to the leak, the Nexus 6 will launch on February 26, the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime will arrive on March 5, and a Sapphire Blue version of the Motorola DROID Turbo will hit on March 12.
Yesterday we saw a leak that showed that the Verizon version of the Nexus 6 may come with some carrier branding on its backside, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see some Verizon software loaded onto the device as well. As for the Galaxy Prime, that’s an entry-level smartphone with a 4.5-inch 800x480 display, quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, and 1GB of RAM.
While still very much unconfirmed, it’s worth noting that Verizon typically launches new hardware on Thursdays, and that’s the day that all three of the above dates fall on. And even though I’m sure that many Android fans will be bummed if the Verizon Nexus 6 does indeed have carrier branding, at least VZW’s launch will make the elusive N6 easier to buy.
