If you’ve been itching to buy a OnePlus One and haven’t been lucky enough to snag an invitation yet, today is your day.
OnePlus has launched its preorder system for its One smartphone. Anyone can now order a OnePlus One, and so long as OnePlus has inventory, your unit will ship immediately. Once inventory runs out, your order will be come a preorder, and your unit will be shipped when more inventory arrives. OnePlus is also allowing any invitation-holding customers to skip the preorder line and secure a OnePlus One immediately.
It worth noting that the preorder window will only be open for one hour, through 12:00 pm ET / 9:00 am PT / 16:00 GMT, so you don’t have much time if you want to order a OnePlus One without waiting for an invitation.
In addition offering preorders, OnePlus is also selling its accessories at discounted prices during the one hour window. One example is the recently-announced JBL E1+ Earphones, which are being discounted from $39.99 to $24.99.
It’s kind of a bummer that OnePlus can’t simply open orders for everyone, especially since it’s been six months since the phone was officially announced. This preorder system is better than nothing, but I hope that OnePlus is able to permanently open ordering soon.

UPDATE: OnePlus has announced that it’s extending the preorder window by another two hours. That means that it’ll be open through 11:00 am PT / 2:00 pm ET / 18:00 GMT.
We're extending pre-orders until 11:00 AM PST, 2:00 PM EST, 18:00 GMT.
