The Verizon version of the Sony Xperia Z2 has leaked several times by now, but just in case you need a bit more evidence that the Z2 is Big Red-bound, the rumor mill is happy to provide it.
The folks at PhoneArena have gotten hold of a photo of Verizon’s internal systems that show that the carrier is currently training its employees on the Sony Xperia Z2. Unfortunately, the image doesn’t reveal any other details about the device or its launch.
Sony and Verizon haven’t exactly been bosom buddies as of late, with mid-2011’s Xperia Play being the last time that the two came together to release a device. The Xperia Z2 is a nice way for that drought to end, especially since the Z2 isn’t available on any other U.S. operators.
Recent rumors have suggested that the Verizon Xperia Z2 could launch in the middle of the third quarter, aka sometime around mid-August. That’s still around a month out, but if it is indeed the case, we should start to see more information on the device surface soon. While we wait, you can check out our video review of the international Xperia Z2 below!
