The HTC One M8 Ace has more in common with its big One (M8) sibling than just its name. The M8 Ace has started leaking more and more frequently in recent weeks, and today the device is making the rounds of the rumor mill once again, getting it one step closer to leaking as frequently as the One (M8) did before its announcement.
Several promotional images posted to Chinese forum TWHook claim to offer more looks at the HTC One M8 Ace. The renders show that the device has a body that’s similar to the One (M8), but instead of being made of metal, the M8 Ace is made of plastic. We can also see that the M8 Ace has a single camera, not a Duo Camera like the One (M8), and that its power button is centered on its top.
Today’s leak also mentions a few of the M8 Ace’s spec details. The unit is said to include front-facing BoomSound speakers, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras and double-tap to wake.
The M8 Ace is rumored to be arriving in June in white, black, red and blue color options. It’s expected that the M8 Ace will be more affordable than HTC’s One (M8) flagship. If that’s true, then the M8 Ace could be an option for folks that want a One (M8) experience from a device that’s easier on the wallet.
