MT PLEASANT, SC – PhoneDog Media is pleased to announce the monthly winners for May 2013 in the Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR). For a second month in a row, the HTC One topped the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts, with the Samsung Galaxy S 4 debuting in second place on both charts. Announced in the same quarter, the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S 4 have been sparring for the head Android title, with the latter selling over 10 million units in its first month on retail shelves.
In second place on both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice chart, Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S 4 smartphone, with 961 votes and 180 expert points. Available on multiple carriers in the U.S., the Galaxy S 4 introduces new features such as Air View and Smart Pause to the Galaxy S line. Moving into third place on the People’s Choice chart, the Samsung Galaxy Note II with a total of 365 votes. On the Expert’s Choice chart, the Apple iPhone 5 remained in third place for the month of May, garnering 108 total expert points.
