So far we've seen new Nokia Windows Phone 8 handsets revealed for both AT&T and T-Mobile, but there's been no official word on any CDMA-flavored Lumias yet. While it's not clear when that'll change, the @evleaks Twitter account decided to fill in that gap itself today by posting an image of a Verizon-branded Nokia device. The phone is referred to as the Nokia Atlas, which is a name that popped up toward the end of August. The device features a front-facing camera and a Nokia logo on the top of is front, a Verizon logo at the bottom, and we can see both Windows Phone 8 and 4G LTE connectivity on board.
There's no mention in today's leak of what the Nokia Atlas might go by once it hits store shelves, but a recent leak from Verizon's device management system showed a couple of entries for a "Nokia Lumia 822," suggesting that the Atlas will be a Lumia 820 variant. Verizon has only offered one Windows Phone to date, so I'm sure that fans of the platform on Big Red are happy to see another device headed their way. Now we just need to wait for an official announcement from Verizon. Does this first look of the Nokia Atlas have any of you Verizon customers reaching for your wallet?
