Despite its late addition to the list, the Apple iPhone 5 ended the long reign of the Samsung Galaxy S III in the Mobile Tech Expert’s Chart in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™. The Samsung Galaxy S III held its #1 spot in the People’s Choice Chart, but the competition is heating up. Which one will come out on top? Samsung Galaxy S III or the Apple iPhone 5?
MT. PLEASANT, SC – PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) is the best way to weigh your vote for the best smartphones in the mobile market. For week 29, the Samsung Galaxy S III remained dominant in the People's Choice Chart, besting the HTC One X by a grand total of 255 votes. In the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, with 39 points, the Apple iPhone 5 beat the Samsung Galaxy S III by three points.
For the People's Choice Chart, the HTC One X remained in second place, with the Nokia Lumia 900 holding strong at the #3 spot. Despite its late entry this week, the Apple iPhone 5 took fifth place, only 28 votes shy of stealing fourth from the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (global). With 36 points, the Samsung Galaxy S III slipped to second place while the HTC One X dropped to third with 33 points. The Samsung Galaxy S III (global) held on to fourth with eight points, and was closely tailed by the DROID RAZR M in fifth with seven points.
