MT PLEASANT, SC – PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) continues to set the standard for ranking the best smartphones in the mobile market. For week 30, the Samsung Galaxy S III completely dominated the People's Choice Chart. During it’s first full week on the charts, the Apple iPhone 5 was beat by a staggering 709 reader votes, giving the Samsung Galaxy S III a landslide victory. In the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, the Apple iPhone 5 sealed first place again by only four expert points.
Sliding into second place, the Apple iPhone 5 knocked the HTC One X from its long-held #2 position in the People's Choice Chart. With the HTC One X in third, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (global) fell to fourth and barely held off the Nokia Lumia 900 by 12 votes. With 34 expert points, the Samsung Galaxy S III took the #2 position in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, and the HTC One X held third place with 30 expert points.
“In the most competitive week of voting since the start of PhoneDog's Official Smartphone Rankings, the people overwhelmingly chose the Samsung Galaxy S III over the Apple iPhone 5 as the industry's best smartphone, proving that 'new' doesn't always equate to 'better,'" said Aaron Baker, Editor-in-Chief of PhoneDog.
