The Samsung Galaxy S III continues to dominate PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™. For week 28, it took first place in the People's Choice Chart by a whopping 242 votes. And in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, the Samsung Galaxy S III led by a much smaller margin, one expert point. While the Galaxy S III is successfully holding off the competition now, things could change this coming week with the iPhone 5 launch and the forthcoming addition of many great devices.
MT. PLEASANT, SC – PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) sets the standard for ranking mobile phones by allowing both readers and experts to weigh their opinions for their favorite phones. For the past two and a half months, the Samsung Galaxy S III has managed to garner more votes than any other smartphone, placing it at first in both the People's Choice Chart and the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart. This week, the HTC One X closed in on the Galaxy S III in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, only two points shy of another tie for first place.
As for the People's Choice Chart, the HTC One X continues to hold second place with relative ease. It held off the Nokia Lumia 900, which caught its second wind after the Nokia Lumia 920 announcement, by 23 reader votes. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus (global) is following closely in fourth, only eight votes shy. In the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart last week, the Apple iPhone 4S ousted the HTC One X from its second position. The HTC One X reclaimed its #2 spot for week 28 with a total of 28 expert points. The Apple iPhone 4S took third with 24 points.
