We've been hearing reports that the HP Veer was "just around the corner," and now we know exactly when we'll finally be able to get our paws on the tiny webOS smartphone. AT&T just announced that they'll begin offering the HP Veer 4G will be launching on Sunday, May 15th, for $99.99 with a two-year contract. Confirming a previous leak, the Veer will be available in both black and white from AT&T and will feature a 2.6-inch 400x320 display, 800MHz Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel camera, 8GB of internal storage, a 910mAh battery, and webOS 2.1.
Although the Veer's small size certainly won't appeal to everyone, that very aspect, along with it's low cost of entry, could attract quite a few folks upgrading from a dumbphone or feature phone to their very first smartphone. I don't know about you, but I'm just glad to finally see some brand new webOS hardware finally coming to market. So, anyone out there planning on picking up the HP Veer 4G later this month?
