Boy, Apple's churning out iOS updates at a pretty good pace, aren't they? Less than a month after releasing iOS 4.3.2, Apple has now made iOS 4.3.3 available to John Q. Public, as well as iOS 4.2.8 for you CDMA iPhone folk. The latest update addresses the iOS location tracking issue by reducing the size of the database stored on your device, no longer backing up that cache to iTunes, and deleting it entirely when a user turns off Location Services. It's also said that the update improves battery life and also squashes some iPod-related bugs, but those enhancements weren't named by Apple.
Considering all of the hullabaloo that erupted over the iOS tracking news, it's not surprising that Apple has rushed a fix out the door. As most of you jailbreakers out there probably know by know, it'd be wise to avoid the 4.3.3/4.2.8 update until the hacking community can update all of the tools necessary to preserve your jailbreak.
