When it comes to planning a vacation, there are multiple options for selecting flights, hotels, etc. Today Verizon announced that they were making the travel process even easier for BlackBerry owners on its network with the addition of KAYAK for BlackBerry: Flight and Hotel Search in the carrier's V CAST Apps store. The app, which allows users to find the perfect flight, hotel, and rental car services, is also available on Android smartphones and can be installed simply by searching for "KAYAK" in the Android Market. KAYAK is already a popular app with smartphone users, having been installed on over 2.5 million handsets, and I'm sure that its inclusion in Verizon's V CAST Apps will help that popularity grow even further. We've heard that Verizon is planning on making V CAST Apps available to Android devices in the near future, and I'm sure that KAYAK will be included when that happens. Sure, the app is available in the Android Market, but the Market doesn't offer carrier billing, which is something that should help V CAST Apps become a hit with Android owners.

The free app provides customers the same service found at KAYAK.com, including the ability to find and book flights, hotels and rental cars by comparing hundreds of travel sites with just one search, helping users save money by finding travel deals. KAYAK for BlackBerry: Flight and Hotel Search also allows customers to track flights, manage trip itineraries and calculate baggage fees.
