The Kindle is one of the products that Amazon is well-known for, and today an update to the popular e-reader was announced.
The new Kindle Oasis comes with a feature that'll let you change the color temperature of the screen. You can change the screen from a white light to a warm amber shade that should be easier on your eyes when reading at night. Plus, you can schedule the color changes so that the Kindle Oasis will change color temperature itself, like at sunrise and sunset.
Amazon also touts that the new Kindle Oasis has "the latest e-ink technology for fast page turns", but the company doesn't offer any other info on that feature.
Other than that, the new Kindle Oasis is largely the same as the previous model that was introduced in 2017. It's got a 7-inch 300ppi display, a waterproof body, page turn buttons, and Bluetooth with support for Audible audiobooks. It's available with 8GB or 32GB of built-in storage, Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi plus cellular connectivity, and Graphite or Champagne Gold color options.
The new Kindle Oasis is now available for pre-order ahead of its July 24th launch. The adjustable warm light looks like a nice little addition, especially for those folks who enjoy reading at night, as it'll be easier on your eyes and could make falling asleep when you're done reading a bit easier.
