OnePlus confirmed last month that it was considering adding features like an Always On Display and wide angle camera video support to the OnePlus 7 Pro. Now we've gotten an update on the status of those features.
OnePlus says that it's looking into "horizon light customization" as a response to OnePlus 7 Pro owners' frustrations about not having a notification light. Shine L., who is on the OxygenOS Operations team, says that OnePlus is also examining "other alternatives to implement AOD in a battery-friendly way."
Another feature that's in the works for the OnePlus 7 Pro is video recording using the ultra wide rear camera. This feature is currently in development, but there's no word on when it might launch.
Other features expected to be added to the OnePlus 7 Pro include support for adaptive icons in the OnePlus launcher, a step counter, the ability to see more apps in the Recent Apps menu, a charging sound effect, and the ability to customize the duration of Zen Mode, which is currently locked to 10 minutes.
