The Samsung Galaxy S20 series offers a few different ways for you to unlock your phone, including fingerprint and face scanners as well as a traditional passcode. And according to a new leak, the Galaxy S21 series will add another unlock method.
Samsung will add Bixby Voice as an unlock method on the Galaxy S21, reports SamMobile. Details on exactly how this will work aren't yet known, but it could work with a phrase like "Hi Bixby" or some other phrase that you can set.
Today's leak does say that this Bixby Voice unlock method will be included with Samsung's One UI 3.1, which means it could eventually be available on other Galaxy devices. But it'll likely arrive first on the Galaxy S21 series.
Voice unlock could be useful because it could let you bypass your lock screen without touching or even looking at your phone. The tradeoff is that it probably won't be the most secure way to lock and unlock your phone, as it's possible that someone might be able to unlock your Galaxy S21 with a recording of your voice.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S21 series in January.
