Rumblings suggest that a OnePlus Watch is in the works, and now a new detail about the upcoming smartwatch has leaked.
The OnePlus Watch will not run Google's Wear OS. That's according to leaker Max Jambor, who has a history of OnePlus leaks including previous some about the OnePlus Watch.
It's not known what software the OnePlus Watch will run, but if today's rumor is true, OnePlus's smartwatch won't be the first Android-centric watch not running Wear OS. Huawei has released multiple smartwatches that run its own Lite OS, including the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro that was just revealed a couple of months ago.
Aside from its software not being Wear OS, the only other detail of the OnePlus Watch that's leaked out is that it has a round display.
OnePlus has teased that it's working on a smartwatch but hasn't made any official announcements about the device yet. OnePlus is one of the few major Android smartphone makers that hasn't yet released a smartwatch, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of features and design OnePlus uses in its watch.
