More than two years after the launch of the original HomePod, Apple appears to be expanding its smart speaker lineup.
New images show the HomePod mini, a smaller version of its Siri speaker. The renders from Evan Blass show the HomePod mini is a sphere-shaped device with a circular display up. On the HomePod, this display shows a Siri waveform and can be touched to control music playback and volume.
This HomePod mini is said to measure 3.3 inches tall, down from the 6.8-inch HomePod. It'll reportedly have an S5 processor just like the Apple Watch Series 5 and could launch in November for $99. To compare, the full-size HomePod currently sells for $299.
Apple will reportedly unveil the HomePod mini at its event today.
