Facebook recently confirmed that it's going to unify chats between Messenger and Instagram, but that's not the only upgrade that Facebook's Messenger is getting.
Facebook is rolling out a redesigned version of Messenger, complete with a new, more colorful logo and new features. Those include cross-app communication with Instagram, which Facebook says will be rolled out to most users in North America soon.
New chat themes are being added to Messenger, such as love and tie-dye, letting you give the app a more personal look. A new default chat color is rolling out, too, and there's that new logo that Facebook says "reflects a shift to the future of messaging, a more dynamic, fun, and integrated way to stay connected to the people you're close to."
There are some other features that've been added to Messenger recently and are being highlighted again as part of this redesigned Messenger rollout. Those include Messenger Rooms video chatting and a "Watch Together" feature that'll let you watch shows and movies with your friends.
Lastly, Facebook is teasing additional new features like selfie stickers and vanish mode are coming to the Messenger app soon.
