ASUS said earlier this year that the ROG Phone 3 would be coming to North America, and now you can indeed buy the souped-up gaming phone in the US.
The ROG Phone 3 is available from ASUS's online store as well as Amazon. Both the 12GB and 16GB models are available, and they're both being sold unlocked and ready for use on AT&T and T-Mobile. The ROG Phone 3 does not support Verizon.
Along with all of that RAM, the ROG Phone 3 is equipped with a Snapdragon 865 Plus processor, 512GB of built-in storage, and a whopping 6000mAh battery. The display is a 6.59-inch 2340x1080 AMOLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate and there are dual front-facing speakers at the top and bottom of that screen.
Also included is a triple rear camera setup that includes a 64MP main cam with Sony IMX686, 13MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro camera, and there's a 24MP snapper on the front for all of your selfies. There are dual SIM slots, too, as well as a USB-C port and 5G support.
Since this is a gaming phone, there are some gaming-centric features as well. AirTrigger 3 touch sensors can act like the trigger buttons you'd find on the top of a controller and can be assigned to any in-game action. They also support gestures like slide, swipe, and inner/outer button detection.
ASUS has also included an X Mode that lets you adjust and customize system parameters to get the ROG Phone 3 running just how you want it. There are RGB lights on the back of the device, and purchases of the ROG Phone 3 come with an AeroActive Cooler 3 clip-on accessory with a fan to help keep your phone cool, a USB-C port so the charging cord doesn't get in your way, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
What do you think of the ROG Phone 3? Are its high-end specs making you think about picking one up?
