A couple of weeks after releasing iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 to the public, Apple has now unleashed its first bugfix update for those releases.
iOS 14.0.1 and iPadOS 14.0.1 are now available to download. You can get them by launching the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and tapping on "General" followed by "Software Update".
These updates are focused on squashing bugs that've been discovered following the public releases of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14. One of the most notable fixes addresses a bug that would reset your choices for default mail and browser apps after restarting your iPhone or iPad.
The update also fixes an issue that could prevent camera previews from showing up on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, a bug that could prevent your iPhone or iPad from connecting to Wi-Fi networks, and a bug that could prevent you from sending email with some mail providers.
Below is the changelog for iOS 14.0.1. The changelog for iPadOS 14.0.1 is the same, minus the fix for the camera bug with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
Apple also released an update to watchOS 7.0.1 today for the Apple Watch. It includes a fix for a bug where some payment cards in the Wallet app were disabled for some users.
