There's still no word on exactly when the PlayStation 5 will launch or how much it'll cost when it does, but you can now register for the opportunity to pre-order Sony's new console.
Sony today opened up registrations for the chance to pre-order a PS5. You'll just need to enter your PSN ID to register, and if you're selected, Sony will contact you via email before pre-orders begin.
"There will be a limited quantity of PS5 consoles available for pre-order, so we will be inviting some of our existing consumers to be one of the first to pre-order one from PlayStation," Sony explains.
Pre-orders will be taken on a first come, first serve basis, so folks who are selected to pre-order a PS5 should act fast when they get their invitation. You'll need a US-based address to ship your PS5 to if you do pre-order a console.
Sony's FAQ explains that those selected are limited to buying one PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition. They'll also be able to purchase up to two DualSense wireless controlers, two DualSense charging stations, two Pulse 3D wireless headsets, 2 media remotes, and 2 HD cameras.
It might seem kind of strange that Sony is opening registrations for the chance to pre-order a PS5 without announcing a launch date or price, but perhaps this news means that we're getting close to those details being revealed.
