BLU Products has been around the smartphone game for a while, and it's become known for offering unlocked Android phones with solid specs and aggressive prices. Now BLU is dipping its toes into the gaming phone market.
The BLU G90 Pro is the company's first gaming phone. You can buy it right now from Amazon for $199.99, which is a special launch price that'll only be available for a limited time.
So what kind of features does this gaming phone have? It's powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G90T processor with liquid cooling tech for both the chip and the charging IC that can lower temps up to 6 degrees Celsius. BLU touts that the ARM Mali-G76 GPU includes MediaTek's HyperEngine Game Technology to help you play games smoothly.
The display on the G90 Pro is a 6.5-inch 2340x1080 panel with slim bezels that give it a 91% screen-to-body ratio. Inside is 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a microSD slot that'll let you add more storage for even more games, and a whopping 5100mAh battery with support for 18W fast wired charging and 10W wireless charging.
There's a quad rear camera setup on the BLU G90 Pro that includes a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degree field of view, a 2MP macro camera, and a depth sensor to help you capture portrait mode shots. A 32MP selfie camera is included, too, plus a rear fingerprint, a USB-C port for charging, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The BLU G90 Pro is sold unlocked and includes support for GSM networks, including some of AT&T and T-Mobile's 4G LTE bands. The 4G LTE bands supported by the G90 Pro include 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/28.
Gaming phones are often high-end phones with prices to match, but the BLU G90 Pro aims to offer a solid gaming experience for folks who want a more affordable device. It's got a big screen to help you enjoy your games more while you're playing, an equally big battery so you can game for longer without having to recharge, and a gaming-focused processor. So if you're in the market for a new phone and like to play games on the go, the BLU G90 Pro could be worth a look.
