The OnePlus Nord has been getting a lot of early praise as a great, lower-cost Android phone, but it looks like some owners are experiencing issues with the Nord's display.
Many OnePlus Nord owners have taken to Reddit and the official OnePlus forums to complain of display tint issues. Those affected say that when the display brightness drops below 25%, some parts of the screen get a purple or green tint. You can see a couple examples below.
While the issue only appears to happen when the Nord's display is at very low brightness, this is a frustrating problem to have, especially on a brand new device. The good news is that OnePlus has acknowledged the issue and says it's working on a fix.
“We are working on an OTA to address this [display issue]," OnePlus told 9to5Google.
There's no word on when this update will arrive. With the OnePlus Nord officially launching on August 4, hopefully the fix will arrive by that date or shortly after. As we wait for a fix to arrive, folks who already have a OnePlus Nord could try setting their display brightness at a certain level above 20% and turning auto brightness off to ensure that the screen doesn't get low enough for the tint problem to appear.
