LG confirmed last month that its new Velvet would be coming to North America, and today the company has shed more light on when those of us in the US will get to try this start of a new product roadmap for ourselves.
The LG Velvet will launch at AT&T tomorrow, July 22, with online availability first and an in-store release to follow on August 7. Pricing will be set at $20 per month for 30 months, or $600 full retail, but new AT&T customers who buy the Velvet with a new line of service on an unlimited plan can get the phone for $10 per month for 30 months.
LG's Velvet will also be coming to T-Mobile and Verizon later this year.
When it launched internationally, the LG Velvet was available in a variety of colors, and the good news is that a handful of them will be coming to the US. The Velvet will be available in colors like Aurora Gray, Aurora Silver, Aurora Red, and Pink White, all four of which you can see at the top of this post.
The LG Velvet features a 6.8-inch 2460x1080 OLED display with 20.5:9 aspect ratio and in-display fingerprint sensor. It's also got a raindrop-style triple rear camera array that includes a 48MP main cam, 8MP ultra wide camera with 120-degree field of view, and a 5MP depth camera.
Inside the Velvet's IP68 water and dust resistant body is a Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There's also a microSD card slot that'll support cards up to a whopping 2TB in size in case you need more storage.
LG has included a 16MP front camera in a waterdrop notch for your selfie needs, and there's a 4300mAh battery powering the phone. Other specs include NFC, stereo speakers, Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ fast charging, Android 10, and, yes, a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Are you going to consider buying the LG Velvet when it makes its way stateside?
