OnePlus is no stranger to making headphones, but this month it'll officially jump in on the trend of truly wireless earbuds for the first time.
The OnePlus Buds is the official name of OnePlus's upcoming truly wireless earphones. OnePlus confirmed the name today and said that the Buds will be fully revealed alongside the OnePlus Nord on July 21.
OnePlus didn't confirm any other details about the Buds today, but past leaks have suggested that they could have an AirPods-like design with a rounding top and a long stalk. The charging case for the OnePlus Buds will reportedly have a rounded bottom and a charging indicator light.
To date, we've seen OnePlus released a few pairs of wireless earbuds, but they've been the type with a cable connecting the two earphones themselves. Truly wireless earbuds have become popular in recent years thanks to models like the Apple AirPods and Samsung Galaxy Buds, though, and now OnePlus is getting in on the trend with its own truly wireless earphones.
