While the Motorola Razr foldable only launched about 5 months ago, it was actually announced back in November 2019. That means that a follow-up could have been revealed as soon as this year, but a new report says we'll have to wait until 2021 to see a Razr 2.
The Motorola Razr 2 has reportedly been delayed a quarter, with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic said to be the cause of the delay. That's according to Ross Young, founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, who adds that we can now expect the Razr 2 to launch in 2021.
This delay may not be official, but it wouldn't be a surprise if several of this year's upcoming devices were delayed. The COVID-19 outbreak caused many people around the world to stay at home which resulted in factories and other companies shutting down. That all could have resulted in some companies pushing back their plans for new devices launches.
A recent leak suggested that the Motorola Razr 2 could have several upgrades over the existing model. Those upgrades could include a a Snapdragon 765 processor, a beefier 48MP rear camera, 8GB of RAM, and a bigger battery. 5G support is also tipped to be coming to Motorola's next Razr foldable.
Based on these leaked specs, are you interested in the Razr 2?
