Apple has been steadily reopening its retail stores across the US in recent weeks, but now some shops will be closing back up.

Apple is re-closing 11 stores in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Arizona due to spikes in COVID-19 cases. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, these stores will stay open this week for customers to pick up devices that've been repaired.

It hasn't been specified exactly which stores will be closing up again. It's also unclear when affected stores might re-open again, as Apple is only describing these closures as "temporary".

It was just a few days ago that Apple said it would be re-opening another 75 stores in the US, a move that meant a majority of its US stores were re-open. Apple has been taking steps to keep customers and staff at its stores safe, including requiring everyone to wear masks, limiting occupancy, and performing temperature checks. As some parts of the US see an increase in cases of the coronavirus, though, Apple seems to feel it'd be safer just to re-close some locations for now.
