The Pixel 3a remains one of the best affordable Android phones you can buy, and so there's a lot of interest around the Pixel 4a. Now we may have an idea of when you'll be able to buy Google's next lower-cost Pixel phone.
The Pixel 4a could launch on May 22. The folks from German site Caschys Blog (via Android Police) say that they viewed internal Vodafone Germany documents that say the Pixel 4a will be available starting on that date.
There's a good bit of evidence to suggest that this date could be the real deal. Google I/O was scheduled for May 12-14 before it got canceled and it's likely that the Pixel 4a would have been announced there, so a launch around 10 days later would make sense. We also saw the Pixel 4a's retail packaging leak earlier this month, meaning a launch is probably close
Finally, Caschys Blog accurately leaked the Vodafone launch date of the Pixel 3a last year, so it's got a bit of experience with Pixel release date leaks.
The rumored spec list for the Pixel 4a includes a 5.81-inch 2340x1080 OLED screen with hole-punch an 8MP selfie camera and a 12.2MP rear camera with OIS, EIS, and 4K video capture. We've been told to expect a Snapdragon 730 processor, too, along with 6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB storage options, and a 3080mAh battery. A 3.5mm headphone jack and rear fingerprint reader are said to be included, too.
