Tomorrow's the day that Motorola is expected to introduce its new flagship Edge+, but it looks like the spec details for the upcoming device have leaked out a little ahead of time.
The display on the Motorola Edge+ is expected to be one of its main features thanks to its waterfall curved sides. The folks at Droid-Life spotted a blog post that went up early and was then pulled, and it claimed that the Edge+ will have a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. There's a 25MP hole-punch selfie camera, too, that leaked images from Evan Blass show will be in the upper left corner of the screen.
Speaking of cameras, it's rumored that there will be a triple rear camera layout on the back of the Motorola Edge+ that includes a 108MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. This cam will reportedly use pixel binning to produce 27MP shots. The rear camera array also purportedly includes a 16MP ultra wide cam and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The leaked internals of the Motorola Edge+ are definitely flagship-tier. They're said to include a Snapdragon 865 processor paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. There's a 5000mAh battery packed in there, too, along with 18W wired and 15W wireless fast charging plus reverse wireless charging. Support for 5G is in there, too.
Finally, it's said that the Motorola Edge+ will run Android 10 out of the box and that it's guaranteed to see one major update to Android 11.
The Edge+ will reportedly be a Verizon exclusive in the US with pricing set at $41.67 per month for 24 months or $1,000 full retail.
It feels like it's been a while since we've seen a true flagship smartphone from Motorola, with the company focusing more on its affordable Moto G series and the foldable Razr lately. We're looking forward to the Edge+'s official reveal and getting our hands on its waterfall display. Like many other flagships released recently, it doesn't sound like the Motorola Edge+ will be cheap, but will be another option for folks who want a high-end 5G flagship and are willing to pay for it.
