Been thinking about checking out Quibi when it launches next week? If you're a T-Mobile customers, you'll be able to try it out for free.
T-Mobile has confirmed that it'll offer Quibi to customers for free when the video streaming service goes live on April 6th. This deal will be available to T-Mo customers with two or more voice lines at standard rates on Magenta and T-Mobile One plans with taxes and fees included, as well as discounted First Responder, Military, and Magenta Plus 55 plans.
These customers will get a free subscription to Quibi's ad-supported $4.99 per month plan. (Quibi will also sell an ad-free plan for $7.99 per month.) If you qualify, you just have to sign up using mytmobile.com or the T-Mobile app to add Quibi to your plan before July 7th.
Many T-Mobile customers already get Netflix for free with their family plan, and now they'll get Quibi for free, too. After your first year of free Quibi, though, you'll have to choose one of the two services to continue receiving for free with your plan.
Quibi is short for "quick bites", which is what the service will be offering up next week. It'll include movies shown in chapters, episodic shows, and more, all coming in at 10 minutes or less per episode. There will be new shows added every day with celebrities like Chrissy Teigen, Sophie Turner, Will Forte, Idris Elba, and Jennifer Lopez, plus news programs from the likes of 60 Minutes and BBC News.
In addition to the quick bites of content, a major focus of Quibi will be its special feature called Turnstyle. This feature will let you seamlessly switch your phone between portrait and landscape orientations to get a different point of view of the show you're watching.
Does the promise of quick bites of shows that you can get through in 10 minutes or less appeal to you?
