Last year, Samsung announced a special version of the Galaxy S10+ for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Now it's got a special Olympics edition of its latest flagship, too.
The Galaxy S20+ 5G Olympic Games Edition was announced today by Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo. This is the same phone that'll be distributed to Olympic athletes, and it features a Matte Gold color with Tokyo 2020 and Olympics branding on its backside plus a special wallpaper.
Aside from the gold color and wallpaper, this Galaxy S20+ 5G Olympic Games Edition is the same as the regular Galaxy S20+ 5G that launched around the world earlier this month. It's packing a 6.7-inch 3200x1440 AMOLED screen, 12GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a Snapdragon 865 processor, and 4500mAh battery.
NTT DoCoMo will begin selling the Galaxy S20+ 5G Olympic Games Edition in June.
The Matte Gold paint job on this special edition Galaxy S20+ 5G isn't going to appeal to everyone but it's definitely a color that'll stand out, especially compared to the Cloud Blue, Cosmic Gray, and Cosmic Black colors that the Galaxy S20+ 5G is also offered in.
