Samsung previously pledged that it would improve the improve the camera performance on the Galaxy S20 series, and it's continuing to do that today with a new software update.
A new update is now available for the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra models powered by an Exynos processor, which would be the international versions of Samsung's latest flagships. SamMobile reports that the update isn't rolling out over the air quite yet, but is available using Samsung's Smart Switch PC software.
The update is version G98xxXXU1ATCH and includes an update to the Camera app. Folks who have already installed the update say that it fixes the slow autofocus issue that some S20 series owners have been complaining about since the phones launched earlier this month.
While this update is currently only available to international versions of the Galaxy S20 series with an Exynos processor, it's very likely that Samsung will bring it to other S20 models soon. So if you've been dealing with slow autofocus on your brand new Galaxy S20's camera, know that an update to address the issue is in the pipeline.
